Train it in TheoriaAbout the Petrosian Gambit
The Petrosian Gambit is one of the forcing replies to 3...c5 in the Classical Defense. After 4. e3 b6, Black is preparing ...Bb7 to aim at the center along the long diagonal. White answers with 5. d5, which shuts that diagonal and gains space. The pawn can be captured with ...exd5, so White is offering material for a lead in development and a cramping central pawn.
