Train it in TheoriaAbout the Akahi Variation
The Akahi Variation is the line of the Keoni-Hiva Gambit that arises when Black meets 2. Nc3 with 2...Nf6, as distinct from the Alua (2...Nc6) and Ekolu (2...d5) Variations. After 3. f4 exf4 4. Nf3 White is a pawn down. In return, the e- and f-files are half-open and White's pieces develop quickly. The extra black pawn on f4 leaves Black with doubled f-pawns, and it remains exposed to the e3-pawn.
