Train it in TheoriaAbout the Tamarkin Countergambit
The Tamarkin Countergambit arises when White plays 3. b4 after 1. d4 c5 2. Nf3 cxd4, and Black ignores the wing pawn with 3...e5. Instead of grabbing a second pawn, Black supports the advanced d4-pawn and stakes out the center, though the e5-pawn is left exposed to the f3-knight. Black is a pawn up, with doubled d-pawns and half-open c- and d-files. The line is seldom seen.
