Train it in TheoriaAbout the Sturm Gambit
The Sturm Gambit, or Mujannah–Sturm Gambit, arises after 1. f4 d5 2. c4, hitting d5 from the flank with ideas borrowed from the Réti and the Queen's Gambit Accepted. The common 2...dxc4 wins nothing if Black clings to the pawn: 3. e3 b5? 4. a4 c6? 5. axb5 cxb5 6. Qf3 costs a minor piece. The engine prefers 2...d4, gaining space for Réti-style play, and rates Black slightly better, though Lichess results are nearly level.
