Train it in TheoriaAbout the Brombacher Countergambit
The Brombacher Countergambit answers 4. f3 with 4...c5. Black leaves the pawn on e4 and strikes at d4 instead of capturing on f3. The position can also arise from 3...c5 4. d5 Nf6 5. f3, a line resembling a reversed Albin Countergambit. White usually gains space with 5. d5, and play tends to continue 5...exf3 6. Nxf3, a line Efim Bogoljubow adopted. Engines give Black a slight edge, though practical results are close to even.
