A rare Blackmar-Diemer line in which White answers the Lemberger Countergambit with 4. Nge2, guarding d4 and leaving Black a pawn up.
Train it in TheoriaAbout the Rasmussen Attack
The Rasmussen Attack, 4. Nge2, meets the Lemberger Countergambit by defending d4 with the knight. White declines to capture on e5 or e4, so Black keeps the extra pawn and White avoids the queen trade that follows 4. dxe5. The most frequent reply is 4...exd4. The engine prefers 4...Bb4, 4...f5 or 4...Nc6 and rates the position as balanced. The line is seldom played.
