About the Seirawan Variation

The Seirawan Variation is a branch of the Spassky main line of the Classical Caro-Kann. After White castles long with 12. O-O-O, Black develops the bishop with 12...Bd6 instead of the Lobron System's 12...Be7. On d6 the bishop is more active but more exposed. 13. Ne4 is by far the most common reply and attacks it at once, while 13. Kb1 and 13. Rde1 are much less frequent. White scores well, and the engine gives White a slight edge.
