A rare Classical Dutch sideline in which White develops the king's knight to h3 instead of f3, keeping the fianchettoed bishop's diagonal open.
Train it in TheoriaAbout the Blackburne Attack
The Blackburne Attack replaces the usual 5. Nf3 of the Classical Dutch with 5. Nh3. The knight leaves the long diagonal clear for the bishop on g2 and can later reroute to f4, where it eyes e6 and d5. Black nearly always replies 5...O-O, while 5...d6 and 5...c6 are rare. The line is seldom played. White scores somewhat better than Black, and the engine gives White a slight edge.
