Train it in TheoriaAbout the Buenos Aires Variation
The Buenos Aires Variation is the Classical Dutch line in which Black answers 7. Nc3 with 7...a5. The move gains space on the queenside and discourages White's b2-b4 expansion before Black decides on a central or kingside plan. White's most common replies are 8. Re1, which supports a later e2-e4, as well as 8. b3 and 8. Qc2. The engine gives White a slight edge, yet Black has scored slightly better in online games, and draws are rare.
