The Kurajica Defense, 3...c6, is an alternative to 3...Nf6 in the Agincourt Defense once White fianchettoes. The c-pawn completes a triangle with e6 and d5, reinforcing the center against pressure along the long diagonal. 4. Bg2 is by far the most common reply. 4. cxd5 and 4. b3 are the main alternatives, and Black scores comparatively well after the exchange. The engine gives White a small edge, favoring 4. b3, 4. d4 or 4. Qc2.
