About the Alekhine Gambit Accepted

This line of the Alekhine Gambit, also known as the Alekhine-Maróczy Gambit, has Black answer 4. Ne2 dxe4 5. a3 with 5...Bxc3+, giving up the dark-squared bishop to keep the extra pawn rather than returning it with 5...Be7 6. Nxe4. White almost always recaptures 6. Nxc3, gaining development and the bishop pair in exchange for the pawn, and 6...Nc6 holds onto the material. The engine rates the position as roughly balanced, though White scores well in practice.
