Train it in TheoriaAbout the Opocensky Variation
The Opocensky Variation comes from the quiet 5. e3 branch of the Three Knights Grünfeld. With the c1-bishop already shut in by e3, White develops it modestly with 6. Bd2, inside the pawn chain. Black most often hits the center with 6...c5. The main alternatives are 6...Bg4 and 6...c6, and the latter has scored well for Black. The engine rates the position as level, and the line is rarely seen.
