Train it in TheoriaAbout the Stummer Gambit
The Stummer Gambit is a branch of the Gibbins-Weidenhagen Gambit. Black meets 3. e4 with 3...d6, which opens the c8-bishop's diagonal so that it guards the knight on g4. White replies 4. Be2, adding a second attacker, and the knight still has to retreat with 4...Nf6. Then 5. Nc3 develops a piece and protects e4. White is a pawn down, with a d4–e4 center, a half-open g-file and an isolated h-pawn, and looks to the lead in development for compensation.
