Train it in TheoriaAbout the Greco Variation
The Greco Variation, 4...Bc5, follows the Bishop's Gambit check by developing the bishop onto the a7–g1 diagonal, where it backs up the queen against f2. The natural 5. Nf3 is a blunder, since 5...Qf2# follows. White almost always plays 5. d4, hitting the bishop with tempo and claiming the center, while 5. Qe2 is a rare alternative. Engines give White a slight edge, and White scores well in online play.
