A rare King's Gambit Accepted sideline, 3. Qf3, in which White's queen prepares a g3 answer to the check on h4; engines clearly favor Black.
Train it in TheoriaAbout the Breyer Gambit
The Breyer Gambit, also called the Hungarian Gambit, answers the capture on f4 with 3. Qf3, a rarely played alternative to 3. Nf3. The queen eyes the f4-pawn and prepares to meet 3...Qh4+ with 4. g3 fxg3 5. hxg3, when the rook on h1 is defended. The early queen sortie costs time. 3...g5 is the most frequent reply, engines give Black a clear advantage, and Black scores better in practice.
