A dubious King's Gambit sideline in which White, already a knight down in the Muzio, plays 7. Nc3 to lure the black queen away from f4.
Train it in TheoriaAbout the Bello Gambit
The Bello Gambit departs from the Double Muzio Gambit at move 7, with 7. Nc3 in place of 7. e5. White develops a piece and invites 7...Qd4+, hoping to draw the black queen away from guarding f4. After 7...Qd4+ 8. Kh1 Qxc4, White continues with 9. Qxf4 or 9. Nd5, the Baldwin Gambit, but engines give Black a large advantage. 7...Qd4+ is the most frequent reply, and Black scores well with it.
