A King's Gambit Accepted sideline in which White meets ...g4 with 5. d4, offering the f3-knight for a broad pawn center; sharp and dubious.
Train it in TheoriaAbout the Ghulam-Kassim Gambit
The Ghulam-Kassim Gambit meets the attack on the f3-knight in the Classical Variation with 5. d4. White leaves the knight en prise and builds a broad pawn center, instead of castling as in the Muzio Gambit. Black almost always captures with 5...gxf3. The rare 5...Qh4+ has fared very badly for Black in practice. Engines give Black a large advantage, yet White scores well in online games.
