Train it in TheoriaAbout the Rubinstein Variation
The Rubinstein Variation answers the Staunton Line with 4. Nc3 Nf6 5. Qe2. White adds the queen to the knight's pressure on the e4-pawn and keeps the extra pawn, rather than returning it with the Charousek Gambit, 4. d3. Black usually defends or develops with tempo. 5...Bf5 is the most common reply, followed by 5...Bg4, which attacks the queen, and 5...Bc5. The engine rates the position as roughly balanced, and Black scores slightly better in practice.
