A King's Indian Attack line where Black mirrors White's kingside fianchetto, claims the center with ...e5 and develops the knight to e7.
Train it in TheoriaAbout the Pachman System
In the Pachman System, Black answers the King's Indian Attack with a mirrored fianchetto, 2...g6 and 3...Bg7. Black then takes a broad center with 4...e5 and develops by 5...Ne7, which leaves the f-pawn unobstructed. White most often replies 6. Nbd2, a move after which Black has scored well in online games. The alternatives are 6. c4, striking at d5, and 6. e4, which contests the center at once. Engines judge the position roughly balanced, and the line is seldom played.
