About the Lesser Simagin (Spassky)

In this branch of the Fianchetto Variation, Black meets 7. O-O with 7...Bf5. The bishop goes to f5 immediately instead of following the Panno's 7...a6 or the Uhlmann-Szabo System's 7...e5. White's three main replies are roughly equally popular: 8. d5 harasses the c6-knight, 8. Nh4 attacks the bishop, and 8. Re1 is a quieter option. Engines give White a slight edge, while online results are nearly even.
