A flexible King's Indian line in which Black meets the Semi-Classical setup with 6...c6, covering d5 and b5 and postponing the choice of central break.
Train it in TheoriaAbout the Benoni Variation
The Benoni Variation is 6...c6, a flexible reply to the Semi-Classical setup. It covers d5 and b5 while Black postpones the decision on which central break to play. White almost always answers with 7. O-O, and 7. h3 and 7. Bd2 are rare alternatives. The engine gives White a slight edge, but practical results are almost exactly even. The line is a less common choice than 6...Nbd7.
