Train it in TheoriaAbout the Inverted Hanham
The Inverted Hanham arises after 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Be2 Nf6 4. d3 d5 5. Nbd2. White adopts the Hanham structure of the Philidor Defense with colors reversed and an extra tempo, keeping e4 supported by pawn and knight. Black most often clarifies the center with 5...dxe4 or develops actively with 5...Bc5. The space-gaining 5...d4 is less common, and White scores well against it. The engine rates the position as roughly balanced.
