About the Nimzowitsch Attack

The Nimzowitsch Attack comes from the old main line of the Latvian, 3. Nxe5 Qf6 4. d4. White builds a classical pawn center, and Black has to spend 4...d6, which blocks in the f8-bishop, to drive the knight away. After 5. Nc4 fxe4 6. Ne3 the knight settles on e3. Black most often continues 6...c6 or 6...Qg6, while engines prefer 6...Nc6. The engine rates White clearly better, although Lichess results are almost even.
