A rare gambit in the Noa line of the Classical Nimzo-Indian, where Black answers 6. Qxc3 with ...c5, offering a pawn to speed up development.
Train it in TheoriaAbout the Romanishin Gambit
The Romanishin Gambit is a seldom-played branch of the Noa Variation. After 4...d5 5. a3 Bxc3+ 6. Qxc3, Black hits d4 with 6...c5 instead of 6...Ne4 or castling. The c-pawn is offered. The most frequent reply, 7. dxc5, takes it, and Black counts on quick development against White's undeveloped kingside. White can also decline with 7. e3 or 7. Bg5. The engine gives White a slight edge.
