Train it in TheoriaAbout the Ljubojevic Variation
The Ljubojevic Variation departs from the usual 4...Bg7 5. Nf3 by developing the light-squared bishop to c4 first. The bishop is aimed at f7, and the g1 knight waits. Black most often castles with 5...O-O, while 5...c6 and 5...Bg4 are less common. Engines also rate the central strikes 5...c5 and 5...d5 highly. The position is assessed as balanced, with White scoring slightly better in online games.
