After 2...Bb7 leaves b5 undefended, 3. Bxb5 takes the pawn, and Black almost always replies 3...Bxe4, which is also the engine's first choice. That restores material by trading the b-pawn for White's e-pawn, leaving the bishop on the long diagonal. The rare 3...c6 and 3...a6 instead attack the bishop. The engine gives White a slight edge, yet Black scores marginally better in practice, and draws are scarce.
