Train it in TheoriaAbout the Petrosian Variation
Within the Anti-Tartakower, this branch has White develop with 8. Rc1 and 9. Bd3. After 8...c6 9. Bd3 Nd7 10. O-O, Black concedes the center with 10...dxc4, so White's bishop moves a second time on 11. Bxc4. Black most often frees the game with 11...e5, a break supported by the bishop on f6. The rarer 11...Nb6 and 11...b5 have fared worse for Black in practice. Engines assess the position as balanced.
