Train it in TheoriaAbout the Anti-Tartakower Variation
Also known as the Anti-Tartakower–Makogonov–Bondarevsky, or Anti-TMB, this line has White exchange on f6 with 7. Bxf6 instead of retreating the bishop, which denies Black the Tartakower system. Black recaptures 7...Bxf6 in nearly every game and keeps the bishop pair. The line was tested extensively in the Kasparov–Karpov matches of the 1980s, and Boris Gelfand relied on it as Black during his victorious 2011 Candidates matches. Engines rate the position as roughly balanced.
