Train it in TheoriaAbout the Abrahams Variation
The Abrahams Variation is a line of the Noteboom in which Black tries to keep the pawn taken with 4...dxc4. The bishop goes to b4 with 5...Bb4, using the square that 5. a4 weakened, and 6...b5 protects c4. White answers 7. Bd2 to unpin the c3-knight, and 7...a5 shores up the b5 pawn and the b4-bishop. White nearly always continues 8. axb5. The engine rates the position as roughly balanced despite Black's extra pawn, and Black scores well in online games.
