Train it in TheoriaAbout the Grünfeld Defense
The Grünfeld Defense of the Two Knights System is Black's fianchetto reply 4...g6. It pairs ...d5 with a bishop bound for g7, as in the Grünfeld proper, although here White has not played c4. The knight on d7 still allows a recapture on f6 without damage to the pawn structure. White most often continues 5. e3, and 5. Qd2 and 5. Ne5 are the main alternatives. The line is rarely played. The engine rates it as balanced, and Black scores well in online games.
