Train it in TheoriaAbout the Collijn Variation
Against the Goteborg System, 5. Nf3, the Collijn Variation replies 5...Bg4. The bishop pins the knight that defends d4, so the e5-pawn's challenge to White's center gains force. White most often takes material with 6. dxe5, while 6. Be2 quietly breaks the pin. The direct 6. h3, putting the question to the bishop, has scored poorly for White in online play. The engine prefers 6. Bc4 or 6. Bb5+ and rates White clearly better.
