Train it in TheoriaAbout the Banker Variation
In the Banker Variation, White reaches 4. f3 Bf5 and then supports d5 at once with 5. c4, skipping 5. Bb5+ or 5. g4. Black usually answers 5...e6, offering a second pawn to open lines against the uncastled king, as in 6. dxe6 Nc6. The main alternative is 5...c6. Engines rate the position close to level, and Black scores heavily online. At Macao in 1996, Rui Damaso mated GM Wang Zili in thirteen moves in this line.
