Train it in TheoriaAbout the Abrahams Variation
The Abrahams Variation differs from the main Noteboom lines in that Black gives up the dark-squared bishop at once with 6...Bxc3+. This doubles White's c-pawns before Black secures the extra pawn with 7...b5 8. axb5 cxb5. Black keeps the pawn, while White gets the bishop pair and half-open a- and b-files. The usual replies are 9. Ne5 and 9. Ba3, the latter eyeing the dark squares Black can no longer cover with a bishop. The engine rates the position as roughly balanced.
