Train it in TheoriaAbout the Geller Line
The Geller Line meets the Maróczy setup with 5...e5. The move gains time on the d4-knight and claims central space, at the cost of a lasting hole on d5. The same position is also reached via 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 a6 3. c4 Nc6 4. d4 cxd4 5. Nxd4 e5. The knight usually retreats with 6. Nf5 or 6. Nc2, and 6. Nxc6 is also common. The engine gives White a slight edge, and White scores well.
