About the Tarrasch Gambit

The Tarrasch Gambit arises when White answers 4. cxd5 exd5 with the immediate 5. dxc5. Black does not recapture and instead plays 5...d4, driving the knight from c3. After 6. Na4 the usual follow-up is 6...b5, which attacks the knight again. Black is a pawn down but has an advanced pawn on d4 and quick queenside play. The retreat 6. Ne4 is also commonly played.
