A rare Van Geet Opening line in which White ignores the pawn on e5 and develops with 4. Nf3, leaving f4 en prise in a sharp, unbalanced position.
Train it in TheoriaAbout the Sleipnir Countergambit
The Sleipnir Countergambit is reached when White answers the Pfeiffer Gambit's 3...e5 with 4. Nf3 rather than taking on e5. The knight develops toward the center and adds pressure to e5, while the f4-pawn stays exposed to capture. Both sides keep pawns en prise, and the opening tension is unresolved, so the position is irregular and calculation-heavy. It is the usual reply in an offbeat line.
