About the Bronstein Gambit

The Bronstein Gambit arises from the Three Knights Variation of the Stanley Variation when White plays 4. f4 and, after 4...Nxe4, leaves the knight on e4 and continues 5. Nf3, developing and pressing against e5. White is a pawn down, and the engine judges that Black holds a clear advantage. The most common reply by far is 5...Nxc3, while 5...d5 and 5...Nd6 are rarer. The gambit is seldom seen.
