Train it in TheoriaAbout the Monster Declined
With 5...Be7 Black develops, holds the extra pawn for the moment and sidesteps 5...Nc6, the entry to the Frankenstein-Dracula Variation. White usually wins the pawn back at once with 6. Qxe5, threatening Qxg7 and so prompting ...O-O, or adds an attacker with 6. Nf3. After 6. Nf3 Nc6 7. Nxe5, the Alekhine Variation, Black's 7...g6 drives the queen away. Play is calmer than in the Frankenstein-Dracula, and the engine assesses the position as roughly balanced.
