Train it in TheoriaAbout the Warsaw Variation
The Warsaw Variation is the 7...c6 branch of the Leningrad Dutch and the alternative to the Matulovic Variation, 7...Nc6. The pawn move covers d5 and keeps the queenside knight's route open, so there is no knight on c6 for an advance to d5 to hit. White most often answers 8. Re1, preparing e4. The engine prefers 8. d5, which gains space and scores better for White, and 8. Qc2 is the third choice. The engine gives White a slight edge.
