Train it in TheoriaAbout the Alessi Gambit
The Alessi Gambit meets 1. g4 with 1...f5. It strikes at the advanced pawn at once and offers the f-pawn if White captures with 2. gxf5. The move does nothing for development and loosens Black's own kingside, and the engine gives White a slight edge. The most frequent reply, 2. d4, transposes to the Krejcik Gambit of the Dutch Defense, while 2. c4 leads to the Wade Gambit of the English. White scores well overall.
