A King's Gambit line in which White, a knight down after 6. Nxf7, checks with 7. Bc4+ to hunt the exposed black king; engines consider it unsound.
Train it in TheoriaAbout the Urusov Attack
The Urusov Attack is the bishop-check branch of the Allgaier Gambit: after sacrificing the knight on f7, White plays 7. Bc4+ instead of the Thorold Attack's 7. d4, aiming at the king along the a2-g8 diagonal. Black is a piece up, and engines give Black a large advantage. The main replies are the counterblow 7...d5, which returns a pawn to blunt the bishop, and the retreat 7...Ke8; 7...Kg7 scores badly for Black.
