Train it in TheoriaAbout the Anderssen Defense
The Anderssen Defense is the main line of the Berlin Defense to the Kieseritzky Gambit. After 7. exd5, which White needs to meet the fork of bishop and e-pawn, material is level. Black does not take back on d5 and instead plays 7...Bd6, putting pressure on the e5-knight and clearing the way to castle. 8. d4 is by far the most common reply, and 8. O-O leads to the Rice Gambit. Black scores heavily in online games, and engines give Black a slight edge.
