A King's Gambit sideline in which White gives up a bishop on f7 to expose Black's king; objectively unsound, but chaotic and successful in practice.
Train it in TheoriaAbout the Lolli Gambit
The Lolli Gambit, also called the Wild Muzio Gambit and associated with the Italian player Giambattista Lolli, meets the attack on the f3-knight with 5. Bxf7+, sacrificing the bishop to pull Black's king into the open. Nearly every game continues 5...Kxf7, and after 6. Ne5+ Ke8 7. Qxg4 Nf6 8. Qxf4 d6 White lacks adequate compensation. Engines give Black a large advantage, yet in online play White scores well.
