Barry Attack, Tarzan Attack

The Tarzan Attack is the Barry Attack branch with 5. Qd2, played against Black's completed kingside fianchetto. The queen joins the f4-bishop on the c1-h6 diagonal, preparing Bh6 to trade off the g7-bishop and clearing the way for O-O-O. Black most often castles with 5...O-O, while 5...c6 and 5...Ne4, the latter hitting the queen and scoring well for Black, are the main alternatives. Engines consider the position level.
