About the von Hennig Gambit

The von Hennig Gambit is a branch of the Schara, or Hennig–Schara, Gambit. After 5. Qxd4 Nc6 6. Qd1 exd5 7. Qxd5, Black plays 7...Be6 and offers a queen trade against a queen that has already moved three times, staying a pawn down in return for quick development. White usually exchanges with 8. Qxd8+, and 8. Qb5 is the main alternative. The engine gives White a slight edge, but Black has scored heavily in online games.
