White almost always continues 8. Qb3, eyeing f7, and scores well in practice, though the engine judges the position roughly balanced. The main line runs 8...Qf6 9. e5 Qg6 10. Nxc3 Nge7. Here 11. Ba3 is standard, while 11. Rd1 is the Potter Variation.
